14 The NAPA REGISTER Thursday, March 21, 1985 local state world National temperatures Foreign temperatures Temperature and weather from around the world at 1200 GMT March 21, 1985 California summary A very weak weather front extended southwest-ward from the northeast border of California early today and was moving rapidly eastward. A few showers fell over the extreme northern mountains and the northern Sierra, followed by clearing skies. As high pressure built over the state, winds were expected to increase to above 20 mph over much of the state with stronger gusts in some areas. Skies were fair over much of the state. Some cloudiness continued along the southern coast, in the southern San Joaquin Valley and in the shower areas to the north.

However, general clearing was expected in these areas today. Crescent City reported seven-hundreths of an inch of rain during the last 24 hours the only report of measurable rainfall. Low temperatures ranged from the 30s in the north to the 40s through the central portions of the state and mainly in the 50s in the south. Palm Spring recorded yesterdays high with 91 degrees. Another Pacific weather front was moving rapidly eastward towards the Pacific Northwest and was expected to spread rain into extreme northern California late tonight and Friday.

Anderson 1978. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Napa. He is survived by his wife, Florence Anderson of St. Helena; one son, Wayne Anderson of Napa; two daughters, Marlene Anderson of St.

Paul, Minn, and Mrs. Roy (Patricia) Speckhard of Clifton Park, N.Y.; one sister, Edith Theilan of Aurora, 111., and eight grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Napa.

Interment will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Chapel, St. Helena. Keegan, grew up in Wisconsin and Illinois and graduated from high school in Rockford, 111. She later moved to Ohio and Indiana.

In 1960 she worked with her husband at the Ben Franklin Store in San Mateo. In 1967 she went to work for J.C. Penney Store in Redwood City and the following year transferred to the Napa Penneys store where she worked until her retirement in 1982. Mrs. Roller was an active member of Women of the Moose No.

945. She enjoyed traveling and gardening and was a skilled cook. She is survived by four sons: Bruce Charles Roller of Menlo Park, Alan David Roller of Napa, Kim Lawrence Roller of Boulder Creek and Brian Dennis Roller of San Francisco; a daughter, Elaine Katherine Stevens of Pensacola, her brother, John Keegan of Kankakee, 111. She also leaves three sisters: Myrtice Moncrief of Beloit, Margaret Kling and Helen Waugh, both of Rockford, 111., two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters.

Friends are invited to gather at Treadway and Wigger Funeral Chapel Saturday morning at 9:15 then procped to St John thp Baptist Catholic Church where a funeral mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will follow the mass at Holy Cross Cemetery in St. Helena. Recitation of the Rosary will be at Treadway and Wigger Mortuary Friday at 7 p.m. Louis Muzzio Louis Muzzio, 84, a life-long resident of Napa, died March 18 at home.

He was born May 2, 1900, in Napa. He worked as a driver with the Napa City Bakery during the 1920s and 1930s. In the 1940s he took a position with the Basalt Corporation, then worked at Kaiser Steel until retirement at age 72. He belonged to the Boilermakers Union and enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, and by several nieces and nephews.

He was cremated under arrangements with the Neptune Society. No services are planned. Gordon A. Quail Gordon A. Quail died Wednesday at Napa Nursing Center following a long illness.

He was 68. He was born in Marathon, Iowa and spent his childhood in that state. He worked as a carpenter for his father until World War II when he enlisted in the Army and served in Africa and Italy. He received his discharge in California and remained here. He worked at Ukiah State Hospital until 1972, then was employed at Napa State Hospital until he retired in 1977.

He was a member of the California State Employees Association and the VFW. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Quail of Napa: a daughter, Nancy Mintey of Grants Pass, and two brothers, Delford of Ukiah and John of Iowa. A graveside service will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno with the Rev. George B.

Scripture officiating. Visitation will be until 8 p.m. this evening at Claffey and Rota Funeral Home. Catherine Mayes Catherine M. Mayes, 72, died Wednesday at Queen of the Valley Hospital.

She was born in Kiwanee, 111. and as a child moved to Portland, Ore. Later she moved to Berkeley where her husband was employed by Standard Oil. In 1970, after her husbands death, she moved to Rancho de Napa Trailer Park in Yountville and became active in the Yountville Town Council. Mr. Anderson was born July 17, 1907, in Helmer, 111. where he grew up and attended schools.
