He is survived by his wife Rosemary Putney of American Canyon; his sons, David of Vacaville and Brian of Fairfield; his daughters, Karen Behunin of Vallejo, Roanne Clayton of Henderson, Robin Speer of Jenner and Melanie Putney of American Canyon; a sister, Leah Davis of Alaska; two brothers Robert Puntney and Clarence Puntney of Omaha and seven grandchildren. Graveside services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery. Vaca Hills Chapel is handling arrangements. The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Charles Wilson Charles M.

Wilson, 81, died Tuesday at a local convalescent hospital. Mr. Wilson was bom in Howard, Aug. 28, 1907, to James and Nora Wilson. He lived in California for more than 35 years.

He worked as a groundskeeper at the Feather River Hospital in Paradise for many years. Mr. Wilson came to Napa three years ago in retirement. He was a member of the Napa Seventh-day Adventist Church. Mr.

Wilson is survived by his wife, Dana June of Napa; one stepson, Delbert Thomas; two stepdaughters, Sharon Alvord and Janet Mundt, both of Napa; and five grandchildren. Friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 2 p.m. Thursday at Claffey and Rota Funeral Home, 1975 Main Napa. The Rev. Rick Wilmot of the Napa Seventh-day friends and grandchildren.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Wilson is survived by her husband, Howard of Napa; a daughter, Doris Wigington of Vacaville; a son, William (Bill) of Napa; one brother, James Fergerson of Rio Honda, Texas; one sister, Emogene Carden of Harlingen, Texas; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Richard Pierce Funeral Service, 1660 Silverado Trail, Napa, with the Rev.

Erwin Bollinger officiating. Private interment will be at Tulo-cay Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Napa Valley, 3 Woodland Lane, Deer Park, 94576; the American Cancer Society, 1732 Jefferson Suite 1, Napa, 94559; or a charity of the donors choice. Lorraine Bickford Lorraine Bickford, 64, died Tuesday at her residence following a lengthy illness. Mrs.

Bickford was bom on Nov. 9, 1924, in Rio Hondo, Texas, to James and Lottie Fergerson. On Sept. 14, 1943, she married Howard Bickford. For many years, Mrs.

Bickford worked with the Grey Ladies of the Red Cross, driving the van that transported the veterans from Yountville to the hospital in San Francisco. A longtime member of the Napa and Solano Cactus and Succulent Society, her interests were mainly in her garden, and she collected cactus and succulents. She was also an avid collector of antique bone china cups and saucers, with a collection of more than 500 pieces. Mrs. Wilson enjoyed knitting for William Putney William Lyle Putney, 67, died June 24 in Fairmont Hospital in San Leandro following a short illness.

Mr. Putney was bom Oct. 25, 1921, in Colorado. He moved to American Canyon 30 years ago. Mr.

Putney worked as an electrician for Sugar for 35 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War and was active in Adventist Church will officiate. Private burial will be at Paradise Cemetery, Paradise. Visitation at the funeral home starts at 9 a.m.

Thursday. Robert Adams DEER PARK Middletown resident Robert Allen Adams, 18, died Sunday at St. Helena Hospital of injuries received in an accident on Mount St. Helena. Mr.

Adams was bom Jan. 4,. 1971, in Lakeport to Rupert Albert and Edna May Greenaway Adams. He grew up and attended schools in Middletown, graduating from Middletown High School this month. He was on the football team of Middletown High and president of V.LC.A.

In addition to his parents of Middletown, Mr. Adams is survived by one sister, Cheryl Adams of Woodland, three brothers, Fred of Novato, Jerry of Calistoga and Larry of Orlando, his grandmother, Martha Greenaway of Vancouver, British Columbia; his girlfriend, Rene Vieira of Middle-town; and aunts and uncles. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Community United Methodist Church in Middletown. Interment will follow in Middletown Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, 1432 Main St. Helena, on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 8 Last Russian prince Romanov dead at 81 Stocks WOODSIDE (AP) Prince Vasili Romanov, the last Russian prince bom in Russia before the revolution that ended his familys 300-year rule, has died at age 81. The nephew of Czart Nicholas died in bed of natural causes Saturday, said his daughter, Marina Beadleston of Aspen, Colo. Romanov was hopeftil to the end of his life about the future of his homeland, ruled by his family from 1613 until the Bolshevik revolution of 1917.
