Park .00 5.79 10.81 Obituaries George A. Lamb He returned to Vallejo in 1946 and worked at Mare Island Naval Shipyard until the Korean War. He rejoined the Navy, serving until 1953 in Long Beach. He again returned to Vallejo and resumed working at Mare Island. George A.

Lamb, 68, died Thursday at Kaiser Hospital in Vallejo. Mr. Lamb was born on Nov. 26, 1918, in San Mateo to George A. and Rose Lamb.

He was raised and educated in San Mateo and in Albion. He graduated from Mendocino High School in 1937. He drove a school bus and worked in a grocery store in the Mendocino area until moving to Vallejo in 1941. Mr. Lamb married Wanda Johnston in March 1942 in Reno.

In 1943 he joined the U.S. Navy, serving in San Diego, Okinawa and China. She moved to California as a child and, with her family, lived in in the San Francisco Bay Area. After completing her education. she was employed as a typist in San Francisco. After her marriage to William F. Fariss.

Mrs. Fariss stayed home with her family. The family moved to Los Angeles in 1932, where her husband was employed by the U.S. Border Patrol. They returned to the Bay Area in the early years of World War II.

The couple retired and moved to Weimar in 1964. After her husband's death in 1984, Mrs. Fariss moved to Napa to be near her family. She is survived by two sons, Forrest of Napa Wilbur F. of Alameda; one daughter, Arlene J.

Walsh of Napa; one brother, Allen Sarasin of Vallejo; two sisters, Winona Schooley of Vallejo and Lorena Nassau of Alameda; and three grandchildren. Private services were held today at Treadway and Wigger Funeral Chapel with the Rev. William McCord, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Napa, officiating. Burial was private in the family lot at the New Auburn District Cemetery. Mr.

Lamb retired from Mare Island in 1971 following 31 years as a welding engineer technician. Following retirement, he went to work at Silverado Country Club, where he worked in the golf cart shop for nine years, retiring in 1984. In his early years in Vallejo. Mr. Lamb was active in local baseball as a player and later as an announcer.

Mr. Lamb was president of the Sea Hawks of Napa Swim Team and was also their announcer. He was announcer for the Redwood Empire Amateur Athletic Union and the Junior Olympics when they were held in Concord. He enjoyed fishing and most other sports. Mr.

Lamb is survived by his wife, Wanda M. of Napa; one son, Dennis of Southern California; two daughters, Kimberly Perry of Citrus Heights and Jana Lamb of Napa; seasonal tactors rather than broad trends. Mr. Osborn was born on June 29. 1890, in Galesburg, where he grew up and attended schools. After attending Knox College in Galesburg, he attended the London Royal Academy of Music, from which he graduated in 1928. He married Fanchon Roth in 1923 in Takoma Park.

Md. Mr. Osborn was a professor of music at Washington Missionary College in Takoma Park and later at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Mich. In 1940 and 1941, he taught at Pacific Union College in Angwin. He then moved to Washington D.C.

and worked on the church hymnals for the General Conference Association of Seventh-day Adventists. Mr. Osborn and his wife moved in 1944 to Glendale, where he worked with the Voice of Prophecy Radio Braodcast. They lived in Deer Park from 1958 to 1963 then moved back to Loma Linda. They returned to the Napa Valley in 1977.

He was a member of the Loma Linda Hill Seventh-day Adventist Church. Mr. Osborn is survived by his son, Dr. Gordon R. of Angwin; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Interment was private today at Montecito Memorial Park Cemetery in Loma Linda under the direction of Morrison Funeral Chapel. St. Helena. Donna Josephine Fariss Donna Josephine Fariss, 85. died Tuesday at Queen of the Valley Hospital of heart diease.
