Thomas Elrick near Napa, was today the scene of charming afternoon event, when Mrs. Elrick entertained in honor of Mrs. William Crawford and Mrs. James Webber. The guests, seven in all, joined Mrs.

Elrick for luncheon shortly after noon, and spent the rest of the day enjoying a social time. Flowering peach and quince and prune blossoms combined with blue birch formed the table and house bouquets. Mrs. Crawford is the mother of Earle E. Crawford and has been visiting at the family residence in Browns Valley from the east.

Mrs. Webber is the mother of Mrs. Earle E. Crawford. Those who were guests of Mrs.

C. D. Clark, Miss Janet Maclay, all of Napa and Mrs. Ralph Bandini of Los Angeles. Thornton Scribner Claims New York Girl For Bride Napans are today learning of the nuptials of Thornton S.

Scribner, prominent Berryessa resiformer, Miss Helen Smith of New York. The wedding took place in San Francisco on Saturday. Mr. Scribner is a son of Mrs. R.

L. MacTaggart of Monticello. is Hie a graduate of the Napa Union High School and also of Stanford University where he completed a course in the college of engineering. He is at the present time employed as a geological engineer on the Boulder Dam in Nevada. The bride and groom will make their home in Nevada City.

They have the best wishes of Mr. Scribner's many friends here. Amaranth Fetes Birthdays of Two Members Members of the Napa Court of Amaranth honored the birthdays of Allie Pederson and Maude Chaffee last evening, when the regular meeting was held with Royal Matron, Maude McKenzie in charge. A birthday cake and a bouquet was presented to each during the serving of the refreshments. The St.

Patrick motif was used for decoration, the hosts and hostesses preparing a most delightful party. During the business meeting it was planned to have a pot-luck supper to precede the meeting of March 28. Mrs. Henry Hess Were Week End Guests Here Mr. and Mrs.

Henry Hess of San Francisco have returned home following a week-end visit with Miss Anna Christenson and Miss May Kelly at their home on Silverado Trail. Fine Orchestra Secured For Imola Dance Keith Kimball and his Casa de Vallejo orchestra will furnish the music for the dance to be given on Thursday evening of this week in Hoisholt Hall by the emyloyees at the Napa State Hospital. Elaborate decorations are being arranged at the present time, and a large crowd is anticipated. Together with dancing, refreshments will be served everyone car come for a good time from 9:00 p. m.

until 1:00 a. m. Napa Golfers To Go To Sonoma For Ass'n Meet Officers of the Women's North Bay Counties Golf Association, of which Napa is a part, held a luncheon today at Sonoma Mission Inn and made detailed plans for the organization's first tournament, to be held at the Inn on April 6, and completed a schedule of six other tournaments for the comings year. Additional directors representing member clubs of the new association were also appointed today. In addition to the April 6 tournament, the organization plans an event at Santa Rosa late in April, one at Petaluma about May 11, Healdsburg about May 26, Marin about June 2, Belvedere in July, and the association's championship between November 1 and 15 at Sonoma Mission Inn.

Nine clubs organized the association about a month ago with Mrs. F. H. Dutton of the Marin Country Club as president, Mrs. H.

B. Johnson, of Mill Valley, vice president; Mrs. R. F. Weber of Petaluma, secretary-treasurer, and Mrs.

C. H. Lieurance of Santa Rosa, assistant secretary-treasurer. In addition to these officers, other members of board of directors now include Mrs. R.

Stevens of die Healdsburg, Santa Rosa, Mrs. and William Mrs. M. C. Ketterlin Mason of Marin.

The member clubs are Marin, Belvedere, Mill Valley, Napa, Petaluma, Santa Rosa, Healdsburg, Humboldt and Mare Island. Three other clubs are expected to join shortly. At the event of April 6, a group of members of the Napa Valley Country Club will participate, including: Mrs. E. H.

Halton, Mrs. John Hurlburt, Mrs. Henry McCormick, Mrs. William Hammett, Miss Caro Godley and Miss Elsa Widenmann. French Club Will Meet Tonight At Cedar Gables A large group of members from Cercle Francais, French club of the Napa Union High School, will assemble at Cedar Gables this evening for a social and business meeting.

Eight members of the group will be hosts and hostesses for the affair, and include: Misses Janet Imrie, Jean Fitch, Ruth Shindler and Miriam Patten; Messrs. Victor O1- liffe, William Dopkins, George and Edwin Saucy. A business meeting to be presided over by President Alphonse Greco will open the evening's discussion. A report is to be given by the commit.ee on arrangements for a trip to San Francisco in the very near future. The tentative date has been set for sometime next month, and the members are enthusiastically looking forward to the occasion.

Mary Jewell, Geraldine Lucy and Miriam Patten comprise the committee. A social time is to follow the meeting. Refreshments and possibly some other form of entertainment will be featured. Miss Beatrice Sauve, adviser to the group, will meet with the students tonight. She will also accompany them on the tentative trip to the big city.

A "Jiggs Dinner" will precede the routine of the evening, and will be served at 6:30. Reservations have been made and indicate that a large gathering of members will enjoy the meal. This group will form only a part of the excellent program upon which St. John's Dramatic Club has spent weeks of rehearsal and preparation. There is also to be a short mystery play, choruses, Irish lilt and jigs and a number of other features. The public is invited. Easter Dinner Party at Country Club March 26 Introducing the evening social events at the Napa Country Club for the ensuing year, will be an attractive dinner party to be given on Saturday evening, March 26, with suggestions of the Easter season forming the motif.

The House Committee headed by Mrs. Kenneth V. Bunce is in charge of the affair, the members of which include: Mrs. Carl J. Peterson, Mrs.

F. W. Auxiliary Meet Members of Murr-Busch Auxiliary held their regular meeting last night in the Masonic Hall with President Sarah Ricketts Three new members were initiated. Mesdames Bessie Carr, Marie Gold and Florence Navoni. There were many honorable members present, which included: National Commander-in-chief V.

F. Darold D. De Coe; National Senior Vice of the V. F. W.

Auxiliary Consuello De Coe, both of Sacramento; Department of California and Nevada Auxiliary President Henrietta Mfils of San Diego; Department ifornia and Nevada Conductress Violet Phelps of Fallon, Nevada; Department Auxiliary Council of Administration Members, Charlotte Buis of Vallejo and Marjorie Wentworth of Sacramento. President Pauline Ricketts and the chairman of the Hospital Committee, Minnie Forman, both of Kreh Auxiliary of Vallejo. Department President Henrietta Mills was in her official visit to Murr-Busch and the exemplification the ritual Auxiliary, was put on. Many interesting remarks were heard from the above high officials, at which time the preparations for the Department Convention to be held in Vallejo in June and the National Convention to be held in Sacramento in August were discussed. They also heard a very interesting talk from the Department President about the good work that is being done at V.

F. W. widow's and orphan's home at Eton Rapids, Michigan. There was also a talk on hospital relief work which is being done in the Mare Island, Veterans' Home and Napa State Hospital for the Veterans there. The Murr-Busch Auxiliary made arrangements to entertain the County Council of Solano, Sonoma.

Marin and Napa on their next meeting night, Monday, March 28th. They are also going to entertain the convalescent patients of the Mare Island Hospital on Thursday, April 7th with a card party entertainment and refreshments to be given at the Hospital Recreation Hall at 1:45 p. m. All members are requested to attend if possible. The committee was appointed for the Buddy Poppy sale which takes place in May the week before Memorial Day and includes: Ida Taylor, chairman; Mary Behrens, assistMargaret Caraway, Augustine Crummett, Bessie Groom, Thelma Haus, Ann Luchensmeir, Jane Suhr, Alice Hamblin, Kittyy Lyons, Charlotte Haley.

Also the following standing entertainment committee was appointed: Emma Rasler, Chairman; Mary Noonan, Carol Osborne, Carrie Poncietta, Gabrielle Anna Pyle, Emeline Rall, Mary Ratto, Ada' Reeves. Dorothy Nelson and Sarah Ricketts. At the close of the meeting a delicious banquet was served by the committee in charge and the hall and tables were very appropriately decorated for the occasion with flowers and flags. The Department President is making her official visit to Karl H. Kreh Auxiliary in Vallejo tonight and many of the members are planning on attending their meeting.

Miss Dorothy Frost was hostess Louise Bernhard, Georgiana Linton, to members of the Stamp Club yesterday afternoon. The group assembled at the home of her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Sutro A. Frost on First street, where a most enjoyable meeting was conducted.

Plans were discussed for an exhibit to be held in Vallejo sometime during April. The exhibit is being conducted under the auspices of the North Stamp Club and the Napa section been invited to enter a display. It was yesterday decided that the group would a panel of the most attractive collections and stamps to show. President, Georgina Linton, was in charge of yesterday's meeting. She was assisted by Louise Bernhard, the secretary, and Mrs.

L. A. Maynard, advisor to the group, also met with them. Dorothy Frost served refreshments and proved to be a most capable hostess. She was assisted by her mother, Mrs.

Sutro A. Frost. Members of the club include: Virginia Money, Betty Leigh Bryan. Phyllis Bryan, Barbara Crawford Melissa MacKerricher. Marjorie Money, Dorothy Frost, Ruth Coward, Claire Oliver and Virginia Henderson.

Business Club Enjoys Program At Meeting Meeting at the Girl Reserve Clubhouse, members of the Business and Professional Women's Club last evening enjoyed a fine program in which representatives from the Braille Transcribers Society were the participants. Miss Matilda Allison arranged for the program which consisted of a playlet, vocal, violin and piano selection. A business meeting at which time prospective members were introduced, opened the evening. It was planned to meet on March 28 at Cedar Gables. Refreshments concluded the evening.
